The University of Szeged has announced its Doctoral Excellence Scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year. Applications for the Excellence+ Scholarship must be submitted through the MODULO system by 12:00 noon on 6 October 2026. The deadline cannot be extended.
Depending on their academic achievements, Hungarian doctoral students and international students assessed under the same conditions as Hungarian students, including Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holders, may apply for a monthly Excellence+ Scholarship of HUF 70,000 or HUF 100,000. Applicants must not hold an EKÖP, KDP or EKÖP–KDP scholarship. Applicants must complete the form available in MODULO and upload the required documents and certificates.
All Hungarian state-funded doctoral students with active student status are entitled to a monthly scholarship supplement of HUF 100,000, except students enrolled in cooperative doctoral training. No application through MODULO is required for this supplement.
Doctoral schools will evaluate the Excellence+ applications by 26 October 2026. The scholarships will be paid in November 2026, retroactively from September. Active student status is also required for payment during the spring semester.
